Lunch at “Coffee Shop Oomori” it’s been a while♪
These days, the sound of “coffee shop” feels kind of wonderful♪
It feels like the temperature is rising in March, but the wind is still cold.
I quite like this time of year, when I can’t wait for the cherry blossoms to bloom.
This season, when the world suddenly becomes hectic, including graduation ceremonies and entrance ceremonies, I also feel nervous and restless.
Meanwhile, there was a store that I wanted to stop by.
“Coffee shop Oomori”.
It is located about 300m away from Sakuranbo Higashine Station.
I wonder how many years it has been. Anyway, it’s been a really long time!
I just came by without asking for an interview, but I wonder if it’s okay…
“The Stones poster” is impressive.
I mean, it’s been so long that I’m nervous!
As I sit at the counter and look around the store, I feel that the number of CDs on display has increased tremendously.
But this atmosphere hasn’t changed! It makes me kind of happy!
The restaurant also has upstairs seating, which requires a reservation.
Due to the restaurant’s request, I refrained from taking pictures of the menu, but all of the items on the menu are interesting.
I had a hard time deciding what to order for a while, but ended up ordering the “curry rice set meal with tomatoes.”
I should have asked for something on the menu that I’ve never ordered before, but I end up ordering something I’ve eaten before!
Also, on this day I just wanted to eat curry (lol)
There are lots of tomatoes in there.
When I hear the word “curry” in a coffee shop, I imagine the kind of curry served at home, but this curry is spicy and delicious.
That’s why I keep coming back to this place.
It is not too spicy, so I think it is a menu item that can be easily eaten!
There is one more thing I ordered. “Vietnamese coffee”.
I love “Vietnamese coffee”!
Vietnamese coffee is basically served with the filter on the bowl.
This is a very unique way of drinking, as it seems to have adopted a method from France, which was under colonial rule.
The coffee is brewed like this.
I often used “Oomori” for launches and after-parties at live events in the city, and this is the coffee I like and often had at those times.
The coffee I usually drink is black, but Vietnamese coffee is different!
After taking a sip, add a little sweetened condensed milk.
The color and taste will be softer and sweeter… ♪
I wasn’t sure whether to order the home-roasted coffee or not, but I ordered the familiar Vietnamese coffee again!
I seem to have a habit of repeating things that I have fond memories of. lol
Coffee Shop Omori is a place where band members and music lovers living in Higashine City hold many live events.
This can be seen from the interior design of the store and the equipment and instruments on display.
However, recently, due to the current situation, they are refraining from holding such events.
It has been almost a year now since we started to have a “let’s refrain from getting together” atmosphere.
There are restaurants and music stores in Higashine City and Yamagata Prefecture that also serve as venues for live performances, and when I visit them from time to time, I hear many people say, “I’ll be happy if we can get together for live performances soon.
The current situation where it is difficult to plan an event even if there is a venue…
I mean, I feel a little sad that we can’t all share in the moment.
It is not limited to this area, and I think everyone feels the same way, but I really hope that the daily life that we used to have will come back soon.
If there is anything we can do, we are always willing to help.
“Coffee Shop Oomori”‘s takeout menu!

This is the take-out menu at Coffee Shop Omori.
In addition to the standard menu items such as omelette rice and Neapolitan, there are also “Higashine Okofu” and “Higashine Yakisoba”, both of which use Higashine’s specialty “fu”.
I have yet to try any of them, so I am looking forward to trying them next time!
Coffee beans are also on sale.
The restaurant is taking proper measures to prevent infections, such as alcohol sterilization and making sure people wear masks, so please cooperate with us when you come to the restaurant… ♪
I had a lot of fun talking with the master’s wife over the counter that day.
I am glad to hear that the master seems to be in good health!
I hope the day when I can visit him for an event comes soon.
And next time, I’m going to eat waffles.
